hojicha latte

i'm in love w/ hojicha! if u don't already know, it's a japanese green tea powder similar 2 matcha, but has a more warm, roasty flavor (whereas matcha is quite bright and clean, hojicha is more earthy)!
i tried a really nice hojicha latte at a cafe nearby, and immediately wanted 2 learn how 2 make it at home. it's super good hot or iced, sweetened or unsweetened - you can do so many things with it 2 personalize it 2 your own tastes! please give it a try, it's really wonderful and comforting.

ingredients:
2 oz water
1 tsp powdered hojicha
8 oz milk of choice

optional (but highly recommended):
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp pure maple syrup/sweetener of choice (or 2 taste)

directions
sift ur hojicha powder into a lil dish or mug (i usually add my water first and sift the powder on top, but it's up 2 u). if ur adding powdered sweetener/cocoa powder, sift that in now, 2
whisk everything all together until there's no clumps 2 b found
if you're drinking it iced, pour ur milk over ice and pour your mixture on top - and that's it!
if you'll b drinking it hot, just heat your milk of choice and pour it in 2 the hojicha mixture, and give it a lil stir
enjoy all by itself, with breakfast, with a lil' shortbread cookie...whatever u like!!! :)
